Horizontal Directional Drilling
Our HDD crews execute bores ranging from 2-inch conduit to 48-inch steel casing. We deploy pilot bore, pre-ream, and pullback sequences engineered to soil conditions — clay, sand, rock, or mixed formations. Every bore is guided by real-time walkover or wireline steering to maintain grade and alignment.

River & Water Crossings
Water crossings demand precise bore planning, containment protocols, and regulatory coordination. United HDD has completed crossings beneath major rivers including the Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, and Colorado. We manage all USACE, EPA, and state environmental permitting coordination and deploy frac-out containment systems on every water crossing.

Road & Highway Crossings
We work directly with FHWA, state DOTs, and railroad right-of-way departments to execute crossings with zero pavement disruption. Our bore plans account for existing utilities, pavement structure, and traffic management requirements. Casing pipe is installed to DOT specifications with full documentation packages.

Pipeline Installation
United HDD installs pipelines for midstream operators, utilities, and industrial clients. We handle fusion welding, coating inspection, cathodic protection tie-ins, and hydrostatic testing. Our rigs are rated for pullback forces up to 1,000,000 lbs, enabling large-diameter pulls through challenging geology.

Fiber Optic & Conduit
Telecom and broadband projects require tight tolerances and minimal surface impact. Our micro-bore rigs install 1-inch to 4-inch conduit bundles with GPS-logged bore paths for as-built accuracy. We work with fiber carriers, municipalities, and rural broadband co-ops on projects from single crossings to multi-mile conduit systems.

Municipal Utilities

Site Assessment
Geotechnical review, utility locating, bore path design, and regulatory pre-screening before mobilization.
Engineering & Permitting
Bore plan ,Locates Called in , GPR Done and Site Assesment
Mobilization
Rig, support equipment, and crew deployed to site. Drill fluid mixing and containment systems staged.
Pilot Bore & Reaming
Guided pilot bore to grade and alignment, followed by staged reaming passes to final bore diameter.
Pullback & Testing
Product pipe pulled through bore. Hydrostatic or pneumatic testing performed. Site restored to pre-construction condition.
